The Mattress and furniture business has been the industry that I have devoted my entire life
to. Since being a child in Kentucky and riding in the delivery truck on Saturdays folding up furniture
pads I have been in love with helping people making their homes a better place for all that lived in it.
Since then I have been lucky enough to be part of several furniture factories, mattress factories and
retail stores both large and small. This industry has taken me to great places in our country like
California, Arizonia, Texas, New Mexico, Missouri, Louisana, Michigan, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina
and more, all the while learning and studying the industry while trying to better each company I was part
of. Around 1985 I decided to put more emphasis on the bedding industry and found a home quickly with
Classic Sleep Products as a sales representative covering Kentucky & Tennessee.
I have been in the mattress business for a long time now, mostly working at the manufactures
level. I designed, helped manufacture, set up marketing programs, trained the sales force and sold our
products to most of the top bedding retailers across the USA. I have done this more than once, for
several different factories, a few different brands. The great benefit of all this experience is we know
bedding, inside and out, good bedding, bad bedding, cheap bedding and you name it bedding.
The one fact that kept getting lost in the shuffle of all the new designs, new covers, foam
technology and everything else was ...Hey, this is a simple product and a simple business. Manufacturers
were constantly trying to reinvent the wheel, sure there were different grades of everything out there
but the one fact remained. All factories were buying
Their components from the same resources. Hello, maybe you
should read that line again. Well I am not trying to tell you that all mattresses are created equal but I
will say all factories have the ability to create equal mattresses in regards to quality and comfort.
What else is there after that ? BRAND NAME.. There is an old saying "what you see is what you get". Well
I'm here to tell you, NOT ALWAYS ! what I mean is there are hidden costs in all those big brand names out
there, infomercial costs, national TV campaigns, advertising programs and the list goes on. There is a
lot of what I call "Non-Value added cost" in most of those mattresses. Some even go as far as to say
their foam is different or their springs are different....Hogwash...It's about as different as calling a
purple pig a majestic swine.
So, what's the point, DotComBeds works with our partner factories to get the best quality
components to use in the mattresses we present to you. We even build some ourself to sell "consumer
direct" to you. We know what is on the inside and there is nothing but product. Our commitment to you is
the lowest price and the highest quality to fill the need for that price level and comfort level. We work
on a "net, net" basis or we don't do business with that factory, no loaded in advertising, vacations,
kickbacks or anything, just the lowest price.
Is that it? Nope, DotComBeds also is committed to keeping our overhead low by only offering
our quality products online. DotCombeds also spends very little on advertising and depends on "word of
mouth" advertising and our website, that is why we named it DotComBeds.com Our name is our web address,
which by the way is mobile phone friendly.
These are the reasons I am very sincere when I say DotcomBeds, Better Mattress, Better
Price.
